Century ride down!!! I feel like I just won an aw Century ride down!!!
I feel like I just won an award as I wrap my ONE HUNDREDTH ride on my @onepeloton. I took my first ride December 2–15 weeks ago. Before I got my bike, I thought that people were overzealous about this century ride.
I was like, what’s the big deal about doing 100 rides? But the road that got me here has taught me so much about my body, my drive, my fight to be better.
I shared in my stories that last month, I worked out every day. Every. Single. Day I listened to my body. On the days I didn’t feel like doing a workout, I did it anyway and there’s so much value in that.
As an entrepreneur, there are days where I just don’t want to show up. Immaturity let’s us just push our work to back burner but maturity? Maturity says you show up on the days that aren’t fun.
I learned a lot more and grew in unexpected ways but I’ll likely save that for a blog post. Thank you to all those that encouraged me on the way. Shout out to @tune2tunde @andyspeer @mattwilpers @adrianwilliamsnyc @chelsealovesyoga who have all shown me love when I’ve shared me taking their classes in my stories.
100 down, a lifetime to go.
One of my health goals for February was to focus o One of my health goals for February was to focus on my fitness foundations. I’ve been working out regularly since December with my @onepeloton bike and app. Within the app, they offer really great programs and I’ve been taking the PZ Training to help my form on the bike and @andyspeer’s Strength Training program.
And friends... I’m so damn proud of myself. Since starting these programs, I’ve shown up consistently for myself. If I missed a morning workout, I got it in that night. Consistency is a HUGE struggle of mine and I’m pressing myself daily to be better.
This morning I took the final full body lifting class with Andy. I am SO proud of my body. Over the last three weeks my squat form has become the best it’s ever been, I can squat more in weight, my upper body is developing and so are my abs. The side planks that killed me for the first week have improved considerably.
And swipe left to check out the lift in my booty!!!! COME ON GAINS!!!! Yeah... I’m proud of myself. And yes, I do get “dressed up” to workout. If I’m not wearing #MeMade then it’s @fabletics which is what this set is.
What have you done this month that has made you proud of yourself?
Pants. Are. For. Suckers. Yes, even #MeMade ones. Pants. Are. For. Suckers.
Yes, even #MeMade ones. I’ve always loved being pantless. My husband jokes that when my pants come off, the day is over—and he’s right. But the reality is, pants are always the most comfortable when you have a non-standard body trying to fit sizes that were meant for standard proportions.
Which is why I was so damn excited to find @thundathighs. These are legit thigh high sweaters for your legs that are made for thick thighs that are outchea performing miracles on the world. I ordered my first pair in the green that I shared in my stories last week. That same day, I ordered 3 more pairs because SWEATERS FOR YOUR LEGS!!!
Yeah... sis is sold and I am sis. Happy Friday friends. You’ll find me happily skipping around in my bodysuit and thigh highs for the rest of the weekend. 😘😘😘
AD: I have a confession. At the end of last year w AD: I have a confession. At the end of last year when I was dealing with my cracked crown and tooth pain, I accidentally took too much of one of the pain relievers I was taking. Because I don’t normally take pain medicines on the regular, I just thought that it was the same. Lucky for me, I had no ill side effects but that was a scary moment for me to learn my lesson: Read all the labels for proper dosing before taking anything.
As we navigate cold/flu/COVID season while making healthcare decisions for you and your family—which includes what over-the-counter medicines to take—things can be confusing. This is why it’s so important to hold on to the Drug Facts label so that you can read and follow the directions properly. The Drug Facts label contains everything you need to know to safely use that particular medicine—the expiration date, active ingredients, uses, warnings and directions. All of these are extremely important as we stay safe and your health needs change over time.
I want you to stay as safe and healthy as you possibly can so make sure you’re reading and not accidentally taking too much like I did! After you’re done reading this, I want you to do me a favor and check all the labels to make sure you safely dispose of any expired medicines and then highlight the important information on that Drug Facts label so it stands out to you before giving it to yourself or loved ones.
Stay safe friends!

We’re having a superb time in the greenhouses at @ladybirdatlanta. This is our first time eating at a restaurant in almost a year and goodness, it feels good to be outside!
I hope you and the ones you love are enjoying your day!!!
It feels like it’s time for an intro post! Hi. It feels like it’s time for an intro post!
Hi. I’m Aaronica and almost 6 years ago I walked out of Corporate America because I wanted to be able to use my God-given gifts and expensive education to help women. I chose the path of being a blogger because I love writing and story-telling as a means to inspire. I started TheCrunchyMommy.com in April 2015 and haven’t looked back since.
Here’s a couple random facts about me:
• I’m originally from NY and moved to Atlanta to attend #SpelmanCollege. I finished with a BA in Psychology.
• I got married the first time when I was 23 and divorced by 25.
• I was a single mom to my oldest until I met and fell deeply in love with my now husband who does not do social media.
• I can speak for 30 min on the following topics without prior preparation: motherhood, entrepreneurship, sewing, #HidradenitisSuppurativa, social media, breastfeeding, and baby wearing.
• I’ve met some of my closest friends through social media.
• In my past life, I’ve managed a bank, worked in HR, planned conferences, upfit vehicles, and fallen in love with the GE workout process.
• Efficiency and time management are my super powers.
• Being grounded for 2020 taught me about being intentional with my energy and where I spend it. This is why you won’t catch me debating or arguing with people online or period. I don’t hesitate to block.
• I believe in loving myself unconditionally even though it’s hard sometimes.
• I have an MBA where I specialized in Marketing.
• I own a consulting firm that handles social media management for small businesses.
• I cry a lot—happy, sad, because someone won big—so I drink lots of water.
• I share a lot about myself in hopes that it helps people.
• I have sewn 90% of my wardrobe and share about that over at @needleandthebelle.
• I have 3 children that make my heart burst at the seams while simultaneously getting on my last nerve.
Ok friends, your turn! Tell me a little about you and how you got here!
