Bloggers… We all know them and love them! This holiday season get them a gift that they’ll really love and use!

    gift guide

    1. EPIC BLOG: One-Year Editorial Planner by Regina Anaejionu – The mastermind behind the uber successful blog By Regina came out with her own blog planner. This planner is purely for blogging and includes a monthly editorial calendar, blog business plan and more to keep every blogger focused on their goals.
    2. The Badass Blog Planner by Sarah Morgan – Another planner by a successful blogger xo Sarah. This one has more color and graphics. She developed printables to accompany her planner as well and what blogger doesn’t LOVE a printable?!?!
    3. 365 Blog Topic Ideas: For The Lifestyle Blogger Who Has Nothing to Write About by Dana Fox – Sometimes we have writer’s block or we just don’t know what to write about. Dana Fox, the woman behind the many successful sites, developed this book specifically to help us bloggers.

    4. A Beautiful Mess Photo Idea Book: 95 Inspiring Ideas for Photographing Your Friends, Your World, and Yourself by Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman – Blogging is no longer just writing. As a blogger, you have to be a creative, writer, chef, tutorial creator and photographer–just to name a few. Most times we start out with this great idea but struggle with capturing this great idea photographically. This is a great resource!

    5. Erin Condren Life Planner – As bloggers, we also have lives outside of our editorial and social media calendars. As a mom and wife, I have to be able to balance the schedules of 4 people and a household of bills, chores, and meals. I love this Life Planner because you have choices on how you want your planner to be: weekly, hourly, daily, etc.
    6. Nifty Notebook – This one pictured is by Erin Condren as well. I love a notebook with a motivational quote. It really encourages me to write and stay focused. Sure, we have OneNote, EverNote, and every other virtual notebook but oftentimes it’s best to go back to the basics with notes.
    7. Canon EOS Rebel T5 DSLR – I’m a newbie when it comes to photography–as are most of us–but I still want my photos to be hi res and look amazing. The Canon Rebel makes that easy.
    8. Coffee Mug – Everyone loves a warm drink in the morning to get their days started. And let’s face it, most bloggers don’t get much sleep since we’re either writing, thinking about writing, or writing about writing. Show your support of their passion!
    9. Sleep All Day Blog All Night T-Shirt – see previous description ha!
    10. Samsung Chromebook 2 – I love mine. The battery lasts for days, charges fast, and has a super fast start up. This is incredibly important for any blogger who does conferences or is an “on the go” writer. I was one of the only ones not stalking power outlets at my conferences this past year because my baby holds a charge!!!

As a blogger, what gift would you want? And if you love a blogger, definitely get them something from this list!

What Every Mom Wants for Christmas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

Yes indeedy! Another gift list! This one is personal to me since I am a mom and I want all of these things. But enough jibber jabber, let the list commence!!!

What Every Mom Wants for Christmas

    1. A Clean House

Yes, this is number 1 for a reason. Every mom (whether we admit it or not) wants our house to look like the models for the latest Home & Garden magazine–not like a sh!t storm hit it. Most days, we try and clean up only for whatever we just put away to be taken immediately back out. Dishes, laundry, vacuuming, scrubbing the bathrooms, and the list goes on and on and on. Do you know how awesome it would be to wake up and go to bed to a clean house for 1 year that YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO CLEAN?!?!? Yes please and thank you! Great gift.

    2. Discipline/Fuss-Free Days

I feel like there’s a common misconception that as moms we really looooove fussing and disciplining the children (I kid naturally). Disciplining children is DRAINING! After you’re done with whatever parenting technique you’ve started to employ because some article told you you were doing it wrong and making your child a sociopath is tiring! Whether you’re trying to be calm, flipping out, or silently punching walls in your head, the whole disciplining thing is hard. I’ve had a couple of days where I didn’t have to constantly ride mini for something and abc decided to take a day off from putting every.single.thing in her mouth. It was glorious…. Truly glorious.

    3. Guilt-Free “Me” Time

The “Guilt-Free” thing is big. I know that we’re ultimately responsible for our feelings but do you know how great it feels to hear ” Can I please come and get your kids? I have the greatest day planned for them!” YES PLEASE!!! Knowing that your kids are out and about living the dream makes having that much needed “me” time to veg out binge watching Netflix with a bottle(s) of wine and whatever delicious treat called your name as you checked out is priceless. Not only that, when the kids come back, they’re good and tired, you’re relaxed and they’re heading to bed. Nothing better than some sleepy kids ready for bed.

    4. Someone to Say “Thank You”

And really mean it. When you become a mom it seems like you have ALL the feels in the world. I see other moms on FB crying about stuff and I’m over here crying with them. But we’ve created these children and we literally give them our everything. Some of us have made sacrifices that we’ll never speak of or decisions that were incredibly hard. We’re up late making sure our kids are ready for the next day and up early to prepare them. We smile when we want to cry and laugh till the tears come. We silently curse out the kid that hurt ours and battle our own issues so that we can be that ideal mom that we think our kids need. Every.single.day we show up. And most days we don’t get a “Thank you” or and kind words of appreciation or affirmation for the job that we’ve been doing. Simply saying and meaning “Thank you” is enough to move us to tears and motivate us to give even more the next day.

    5. New Memories

Most days being a mom is pretty awesome–minus the days that our children show their true identities as sour patch kids. We love our kids. We love our spouses. There are so many times I just sit and think about different times that I’ve had with my babies and husband. The things that have made me smile or laugh so hard my stomach hurt. I reflect on a lot and the things that I’d like to do with my family…the new memories I’d like to make…

Advertisers will have you thinking that you need to spend every last cent of your paycheck on some rinky dink piece of jewelry we can’t even wear because the baby will pull it off and then when they’re old enough to leave it alone, we can’t find it. Sure, some of us love jewelry but most of the things that we moms want are priceless and invaluable to us. So this Christmas make sure that you gift the mom in your life with something that REALLY matters.

What gifts are you giving the moms in your life?
